When head pastry chef of the Umstead Hotel, Daniel Benjamin, decided to open his own bakery in downtown Raleigh he turned to National Restaurant Designers to execute the design. At NRD we worked closely with Daniel to capture the modern Patisserie that he envisioned while maintaining the heritage, architectural details, and culture of the historic Salisbury Street building he chose to renovate. The resulting design is eclectic, cheerful, inviting, and a perfect blend of modern fixtures and finishes in a historic space.
